Hi guys,

I have scheduled a job using dbms_job.submit with the below code:

DECLARE
  X NUMBER;
BEGIN
  SYS.DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT
    ( job       => X
     ,what      => 'adm.new_daily_job;'
     ,next_date => to_date('29/07/2008 20:00:00','dd/mm/yyyy hh24:mi:ss')
     ,interval  => 'trunc(sysdate + 1) + 20/24'
     ,no_parse  => TRUE
    );
END;

COMMIT;

/

But the above procedure never actually ran !! When i run it manually it runs, can anyone tell me what is the reason ?

some additional info !!

SELECT num,name,type,value FROM V$PARAMETER WHERE NAME LIKE 'job_queue_%' ;

NUM      NAME                   TYPE      VALUE
544      job_queue_processes    3          0

Reason: Your job_queue_processes are 0. So there are no job queue processes running.

Set it to 1 or higher.
