Dear All,

We currently hv an old server Enterprise E450 hosting oracle 7.1.6.2.0 and OS solaris 5.8. We are about to upgrade but its taking time...

1. Since the space is limited, and according to our supplier these type of hard disks are not available on the market. We want to extend the file system to an external device (connected thru scsi/parallel interface). Is this possible? drawbacks?

2. Does re-organize table works on this version of oracle? any drawbacks?

Kindly help and suggest any other solution.

Upgrade your server, your OS, your oracle.
