hi every one

1.i want to get the current system time of oracle client on the form not the time of the server

2.i want to change the name of the oracle database 9i



any ideas

:system.current_datetime is a variable representing the operating system current date and time.

Use DBNEWID utility. Here's an example, but I'd suggest you to read more about it in official Oracle documentation at http://tahiti.oracle.com.
