hello
i have DB 300GIGA
and it do RMAN BACKUP to "DISK"

my TSM in the night backup HIM.

my tsm save "7 GENERATIONS"

my CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO RECOVERY WINDOW OF 1 DAYS

if i will want to recover from 5 days - can i restore
from my TSM and recover
or i must to "CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO RECOVERY WINDOW OF 7 DAYS"

Don't really know what you mean by this, but if you want the ability to recover up to 5 days ago, then you should set up an RMAN retention policy of at least RECOVERY WINDOW OF 4 DAYS.
