Hi

I have a 16GB trace file named mysid_smon_3268.trc in bdump folder.
I must have to delete it to spare disk space.
When I try to delete it from OS windows give default error, i.e. file in use.
I feel its because this file is in use of oracle but I cant shutdown the database to delete this file.
Please advise how can I change database to stop using this file so that I can delete it or any other save way to delete it?

Wishes

This is a Windows stuff, files are kept in exclusive and you can't delete (or move) them until process is over.
Maybe you can find a tool on sysinternals that can allow you to do this.

Regards
Michel
