hi all


i have to connect an user/password and the error is shown as 'oracle not available' but the database is open stage.can anyone tell solution to this.

Start the database.

This is becuase of you trying to connect some other database.
I guess it is unix/linux.

for example:
Database name is "orcl" and during connection you export "oracle" then you get above mention message in your previous post.

hi
lets try this command in OS prompt
export ORACLE_SID=<sidname> in unix/linux
set ORACLE_SID=<sidname> if it is windows

and try to connect..
