Hi,

The project I am working on needs to store resumes in the database. I want to select resumes stored on the OS but not able to figure out how I will invoke the file searching screen of the operating system.

The screen shot is attached, can you please suggest something?

Hi,

Thanks for the response, I tried the online help and a few sources like these

but I still could not get the exact step by step procedure to accomplish this task. I am not able to figure out which interface to load (ole_interfaces.gif - attached), where are they being loaded inside the form (as I do not see them anywhere) and how to use it. As you have already done this in an assignment can you show me a step by step way (including the code) to achieve this. I assume once I see it I might be in a better position to do this for other functionalities later on.

Open Forms 10g, press F1, search for 'get file', look at 'Functions in WebUtil'. Read. Get down to 'Client_to_DB'. Experiment.

it seems that webutil.pll and webutil.obl is the answer to all my problems..but I am not able to find a source from where I can download webutil.zip package which contains the above.

Would you be able me to direct me to the source from where I can download this?

It is part of 10g. Look in the Forms directory on your PC.

The version I am working on is a free version from Oracle website so I don't think they have given all the features. I am not able to find the webutil folder which was supposed to be under home\forms90 similar was the case for the import option (which is missing in my software). Is there a get this package from some other source?

Download the latest Forms 10g, uninstall the current version and install the new version.
