hi,
just want to ask on how to get the available space for a tablespace. i found this link

http://asktom.oracle.com/tkyte/Misc/free.html

but it tells that we've only got 7mb space left for our tablespace. last week our dba's already added space, and i think that's true because at first we cant add new records because we're getting an error for lacking space. just want to ask if this script really returns the current sizing of the tablespaces? here's the output:

NAME	KBYTES	USED	FREE	PCT_USED	LARGEST	MAX_SIZE	PCT_MAX_USED
*a TBS01	9,835,584.00	9,828,416.00	7,168.00	99.93	7,168.00	33,554,416.00	29.31

regards,
rhani

If you don't align the column in the result it is unreadable.
There are many scripts everywhere including here, if you don't trust them then create your own.
All available data are in the dictionary, dba_data_files, dba_free_space.

Regards
Michel
