Hi,

i have a table which contains two columns

table name: table1
column1 : id number
column2 : data clob

i need some part of data which is in clob so i use this below command but iam getting error
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small.
So how to handle this.

select dbms_lob.SUBSTR(data,5465,3772)
from table1
where id=1;

Maximum size in SQL is 4000 bytes.
Maximum size of a PL/SQL string variable is 32K.

As you don't post the actual code, this is the more we can give.
