Hi,

I 've created a table PRACTICE and in that env I've created a DIRECTORY gif_dir in '<dir_path>'.

There is a .gif file in my local system.
I've put the .gif file from local system to <dir_path> location and given a READ grant on this directoy to SYSTEM.
I've inserted the file data to PRACTICE table.

But when i'm trying to do select query it shows some encrypted values.
Could you please assist me in this.
Thanks,

It does not show "encrypted" value, it shows binary for your gif file.
Oracle SQL*Plus (or the like) displays characters and not image.
You have to write your own program.

You could use Oracle reports to display the image..
