Why?
Only in rare case is anything to be gained by running more than one listener on a system?

Do you realize that two listeners can NOT "share" the same port?
This means you'd need to change tnsnames.ora file to communicate with the 2 new listeners.
Are you ready, willing & able to do so?

>how can i do that?
Answer my questions & I'll answer more of yours.

Fair enough.

Nothing is impossible for the person who does not have to do it.

I am sure your boss can provide you the details to accomplish the directed task.

Good Luck!

Is your boss is technical person? or NON-TECHNICAL ?

anyway whatever.
always do which good and best for database, never follow which best/good & said by boss.

Taj

why did your boss say so? I think your boss must not be a technical person.Tt's not a good idea.
The three database share the same listener port is right .It's safe.
you should explain the situation to your boss....
Maybe your boss is right ,you can modify listener.ora and add the other two listener with the deferrent port (eg 1522,1523)

Gary
