Hi,
I have to create a database with around 45 tables. I have created one small database earlier but without any tuning in mind and generally didn't taken any care for its optimization.
This project is a big one and I am new to it so please suggest me some precautions or rules or tips to create a databse that should be tuned in term of space allocation, indexing and others.

Please give me some best links if possible or suggest me some guidelines for creating a good database. Also please advice as how to check the health of an exising database.
Too many questions.... but please look into this.
I looked on google but generally getting links regarding tuning scripts but I need something on database creation with optimization.

Thanks in advance,
Mahi
