I want to find average days taken to provide solution for,Different type of requests sent by the users. In my table I do have fields like date_end and date_start ,Request type.
And the result should be like this..
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Year Month RequestType AvgDays AvgDays(WithOutWeekends)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
2008 April Application 12 7
2008 April OS/Database 9 5

AvgDays : It means Average days taken to complete a request ,which includes weekends.

AvgDays(WithOutWeekends) : It means Average days taken to complete a request ,which don't includes weekends.

Could any one provide the solution?

Are you aware that test forum is only for testing your post and not to get an answer?

I advice to please read OraFAQ Forum Guide, especially "How to format your post?" section.
Make sure that lines of code do not exceed 80 characters when you format.
Indent the code (See SQL Formatter) and align the columns in result.
Use the "Preview Message" button to verify.
Also always post your Oracle version (4 decimals).
