Hi All,
I've decided to partition a table of about 1.5 million rows with HASH partitioning. The main aim to do this partition is to improve the performance with the table. Is it ok to go ahead with hash partitioning to improve performance?

Also pls tell me the no of partitions that can be made for 1.5 million row table. Should i create new tablespaces for this partition?

Thanks,
Arun.

Does 1,2,3,4,....
which number of partitions reduces elapsed time the most?

Well, I not sure about the no of partitions that reduce the elapsed time as this is my new project. Is there any partition value used standardly for a million row table to improve performance.

Thanx,
Arun
