I am getting an strange error for last some days, I dont know is it the error of my application or logic or forms runtime.

I developed a simple form where I wrote a trigger on ON-LOGON event, i wrote a code to login into the database the code was "LOGON('USERNAME','PASSWORD@SERVICE');", when I run the form through form builder it works fine, when I use a short cut to run the form it gives me errror, first it shows the authentication window when i type username and password it gives me TNS error I dont know why, a some days ago it was working fine now it is giving me trouble.

Please help me to resolve this problem.

regards

What has changed since it worked correctly? Did you, perhaps, change this user's password?

I didn't change any thing, username and password are still same. Two or three months ago it was working fine and the old compiled forms are still working but the new forms do not work.

The more strange thing is, I created a form with only one trigger on ON-LOGON event I wrote a code to connect to the database the form is working fine on form builder but when i run it through shortcut it gives me error which is attached.

Do I need to install any patch or some thing else, I recently downloaded Oracle Forms 6i from Oracle web site and using this product to develop form i donno is it the problem of windows or forms but very irretating.

Please help me.......

Well, there's no listener there.

Oracle
ORA-12224: TNS:no listener

Cause: The connection request could not be completed because the listener is not running.

Action: Ensure that the supplied destination address matches one of the addresses used by the listener - compare the TNSNAMES.ORA entry with the appropriate LISTENER.ORA file (or TNSNAV.ORA if the connection is to go by way of an Interchange). Start the listener on the remote machine.

Do you have a different directory in the 'start in' for the 'Run' shortcut versus the 'Forms Builder' shortcut?
