Hi
The problem I have is i have used the date function to find out the difference between two dates which I can do fine in SQL. The thing is I want to transfer this data into a normal edit box in Delphi. I dont want to store the difference in a table

Mathew, I'm not sure I understand your requirement. In your SQL statement, you can have a calculated column in the result set showing the difference between two dates. Then when you open that dataset in Delphi, you can load that column value in a TEdit or TDbGrid as necessary.
