Thanks Todd - although Oracle security rules are beginning to cause me a few headaches. For instance, what is confusing is that I can create a user from the SQL Plus command line but not through the Stored procedure even though the EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE was given by SYS! So, is the rule that if any privilege is gained for a user (any user) through a Role then any privileges on objects needed within that procedure need to be granted explicitly ? If that is the case what is the point in having a Role ?
