Hi Experts,
I need to know when we take the backup using RMAN,
Do we need to configure any controlfile parameter?

I mean to say that we configure recovery catalog for RMAN.
but here i need to know when we dont used recovery catalog in that case we have to configure the controlfile parameter?

hey you need to configure controlfile_record_keep_time if you are running rman in nocatalog mode......
