I know this has to be a simple question, with hopefully a simple answer.

I have a sqlplus script that I want to have one line in it that reads information from a text file. So far I have not been able to find exactly how to do this with the right syntax.

so it's something like this

the text file has a specifically formatted timestamp in it...

and I need to be able to read that in to my select statement.
