hello
i run this script
"
run {
backup
format '/rman/rman_%p.bck'
database ;}

its running and hang out on message
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03002: failure of backup command at 04/13/2008 12:29:49
ORA-19504: failed to create file "/rman/rman_1.bck"
ORA-27038: skgfrcre: file exists


but the file didnt exist in the start of rman.

what the best script that do rman by synonims

ok. i do
this

format '/rman/rman%d_%t_%s_%p.dbf' database plus archivelog;}

its works

but why it do to me few files
like that:
"-rw-r----- 1 orasrt dba 7114062848 Apr 13 12:38 rmanSRT_651933330_13_1.dbf
-rw-r----- 1 orasrt dba 19966992384 Apr 13 12:44 rmanSRT_651933489_14_1.dbf

i want just one file
can i?

i didnt understand
why it write me few files

-rw-r----- 1 orasrt dba 7114062848 Apr 13 12:38 rmanSRT_651933330_13_1.dbf

i want just big one file.

i cancel it
and delete all backup by rman command
"delete backup"

this is my show all;

MAN configuration parameters are:
CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO REDUNDANCY 1; # default
