Before you post anything in this forum be aware that this forum is meant for Expert PL/SQL problems.
This does NOT mean that experts only read this forum; 99% also read the Newbie-forum!

So, before posting here ask yourself the following:
- Do I consider myself an expert?
- Do I think the problem at hand is a difficult one?
- Is my problem strictly PL/SQL-related?

if you answer at least one of the above questions with "No" or "Don't know", find the appropriate forum here at OraFAQ.
If all three are answered "Yes", you are most welcome to post here!

Literacy is obvoiusly a dying art in the world today.

By no stretch of the imagination does this count as an Expert question, and the brief period for which you have studied Oracle should have suggested that you might count as a 'Newbie'

Moved to a better home.

Everything you need to know is here

Simple example to execute a package.

Execute package_name.procedure_name(parameters)

1/ The question is "how to compile a pl/sql package" not execute
2/ "execute" is a SQL*Plus command not a PL/SQL one, this MUST be precise and posting PL/SQL Guide link is wrong for this answer
3/ Pointing to 8.1.5 documentation that is 7 releases back is not very useful

In short, useless and misleading post.

Michel
