Hi,

I have a package called package_1.
Whenever I am trying compile it it goes for timeout error after trying to get compiled for long time.

But whenever I am changing the package name (like package_2 or anything else) it gets compiled soon.

The problem is same for the package specification or package body.

I am facing the problem from the last two days.....

Please help. I need it as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Arindam..

Hi,
I am getting the following error.:

ORA-04021:timeout occurred while waiting to lock a object.

I have tried it later(after 15 hours) also.. but the problem remains same for the last two days......

It mostly happens when the object needs to compile or to reference itself to compile or the like.
You have to show what you show us the code and your session.

My guess is that the package is still used by some other session(s)
