Hi

yesterday i ran one package "utl_smtp" which was not successfull(session terminated in the middle)
in the night when i started the export of few schemas,for every schema im gettin the following error

"EXP-00008: ORACLE error 904 encountered
ORA-00904: invalid column name
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully"

to solve this i searched in the google and i ran catexp.sql
but this problem is still there

if i run catproc.sql and catlog.sql any impact will be there on existing user's procedures and packages?


how to solve it...

please help me....

oracle version:8.1.6.3
o/s HP-UNIX

you try to do run the exp-binary version 8.1.7.0.1 again a database version 8.1.6.0.0
The error might occure, as the exp binary tries to use some objects which are not available in version 8.1.6.
I'd suggest to try a exp utility version 8.1.6.0.0

Wow! How do you know it export version 8.1.7.0.1 (5 digits precision)? I see nothing in the post only the database version.
Tell us your secret... although you slighty failed on database version.
