Hi All,

I'm using OEM 9i to create a user with default tablespace USERS without quota on this tablespace.
This new user have only connect GRANT.
When having a look on the quota for this user I notice that
it's none quota on this tablespace( of course) .

So My question is : NONE QUOTA means UNLIMITED QUOTA ?

thanks for Answer.

Default quota is 0.
Now what does OEM display, I don't know.
"Those who live by the GUI, die by the GUI."

Query DBA_TS_QUOTAS to know how OEM handles this.

By default, a user has no quota on any tablespace in the database. If the user has the privilege to create a schema object, you must assign a quota to allow the user to create objects. Minimally, assign users a quota for the default tablespace, and additional quotas for other tablespaces in which they can create objects.

Thats a nice statement but then why Oracle recommends to use OEM.

Oracle recommends what is returning back money not what is best.

The sentence is from Ana (anacedent).

None means zero, i.e no quota. And unlimited is no limit.
