hi
Experts

I got some problem while running a report with parameters which are dependent.

I have two parameters lov
1- voucher_type
2- voucher_no

parameter 2 is dependent on parameter 1 .. whenever voucher_type select .. then parameter two lov generates dependent on Parameter 1 ...

Now question is how can i do that .. first ??

What is a use of $FLEX$.value and how it is use and where it is use ?? and what value we use to declare .. i mean value set name or parameter tokan value ... ??

I tried both .. but my parameter form gives me same error " Check your parameters ...." ..

While my value set names are . XX_VOUCHER_TYPE and XX_VOUCHER_NO and parameter tokans are P_VOUCHER_TYPE AND P_VOUCHER_NO

do anyone suggust me what to do .. any help and suggusions will be appriciatable.

waiting for responce ..

Regards

hi experts

i found one solution from Oracle- forum and i tried it which is

You can use $FLEX$.<previous value set name>

example:
first parameter value set name is: XX_CUSTOMER_ID

second parameter value set:
WHERE/Order by clause: where customer_id = $FLEX$.XX_CUSTOMER_ID

Hope this solved your problem.

but it cause errors .. for exact error see image below

any suggusion or solutions

You should prefix $FLEX$ with ":".

I have asked you to prefix $FLEX$ with ":".

That should be :$FLEX$.SWISSTEX_VOUCHER_TYPE
