Hi
Sometimes during recovery I encountered the following message "
/forum/fa/10524/0/

This error occurs when Backup And Restore Occur between different versions

Why is this happening? and How it can be solved ?

That might be because export/import utilities aren't compatible between versions you use.

Visit My Oracle Support and review document ID 132904.1 (Compatibility Matrix for Export And Import Between Different Oracle Versions) which (currently) covers matrix for versions from 5.x - 11.2.0.x.

Table on that page was created by person who asked a question. I didn't review it and can't tell whether it is accurate or not. The right one is - as I said - on My Oracle Support.
