Hi,

Two different says in different documentation as below.

1) Import required same tablespace to fit the objects, otherwise it throws error.

2) Import by default uses the default tablespace to fit the objects, but some times it uses SYSTEM tablespace also.

please confirm with the correct one.

Thanks

Both are wrong unless SYSTEM is the default tablespace.

Hi All,

Thanks...

1) Then how to import objects in a specific tablespace.

2) or else only way is moving objects from system tablespace to specific tablespace?

3) Or else can we set any specific tablespace as default other than System tablespace?

Thanks in advance.

only SYSTEM or SYS schemas should create objects within SYSTEM tablespace.
Those who obey this rule don't have to be otherwise challenged.
DROP the objects & CREATE the objects in correct tablespaces.

Hi,

Which means all the objects are getting imported in to the system tablespace, of system tablespace is default one?

1) if it is true additionally we have to move all the objects from system tablespace to appropriate tablespaces?
which will be burden on DBA, in case large amount of importing. Am I right.

2) Then how to avoid these scenario?

Thanks in advance.

Do not grant quota on SYSTEM tablespace to anyone.

You could also pre-create the objects in other tablespaces and then choose IGNORE=Y when importing.
